From October 10, 2024, Muma Gallery presents the New York-based fashion photographer Tim Petersen in the solo exhibition “New York City”.

The artist about his exhibition
I moved to New York 30 years ago and from day one I was endlessly fascinated by the magical visual presence of this city. By that I mean the steam rising from the streets, the people from all over the world reaching for the stars here, the scratchy subway, the iconic skyline - it was all familiar to me from movies and yet it felt excitingly new.
In the early years I never left the house without a camera, I was obsessed with capturing this magic and discovered more than just that. Thousands of photos were taken during this time.
With the exhibition “New York City” I am deliberately not showing the fashion photos and celebrity portraits but a personal selection of moments, that reflect my ambivalent relationship with New York City. A thoughtful declaration of love in pictures, so to speak.
It is a special pleasure for me to present these photos to the public for the first time in the MUMA Gallery.
