The exhibition “Lifelines - Fathers and Sons” is a poetic dialog between the generations in which art and family meet.
Two extraordinary families - that of soccer legend Bruno Labbadia and his son Luca, and that of Helmut Gerigk, a surrealist painter, and his son Konstantin Bax - enter into a creative exchange here that is more than just the work of the individual.
It is a story of relationships, influences and the power of co-creation.
Bruno Labbadia, known as a successful soccer player and coach, enters into a dialog with his son Luca, who has chosen a completely different form of expression as a photographer.
Luca Labbadia's works are imbued with a delicate poetry and transport the viewer into a world in which the captured moments reflect fleeting emotions and his search for his own path. In a new series of portraits of Bruno Labbadia, we see the son's view of his father.

On the other hand, there is the painting of Helmut Gerigk, who cultivated an acquaintance with Salvador Dali in the 1970s, which is characterized by surreal landscapes, dreams and a deep engagement with the unconscious.
These elements find an exciting continuation in the works of his son Konstantin Bax. Konstantin's painting deals intensively with the human being in search of transformation and blurs the boundaries of reality in its abstract forms.
“Lifelines” immerses us in the deep connections between fathers and their sons - in the interactions between the generations that become visible in the artworks on display and the accompanying quotes. The exhibition weaves the stories of father and son into a poetic whole that celebrates the beauty and complexity of human relationships.
The exhibition was accompanied photographically by Katrin Schöning, whose authentic and sensitive portraits made a major contribution to the success of this exhibition.
We cordially invite you to celebrate the opening of the exhibition with us on May 10, 2025, starting at 6:00 pm, at the MUMA Gallery. The participating artists will be present.
