Über die Ausstellung:

The exhibition „Lebenslinien – Väter und Söhne“ ist ein poetischer Dialog zwischen den Generationen, in dem Kunst und Familie aufeinandertreffen. Zwei außergewöhnliche Familien – die von Fußballer Bruno Labbadia und seinem Sohn Luca, sowie die von Helmut Gerigk, dem surrealistischen Maler, und seinem Sohn Konstantin Bax – treten hier in einen kreativen Austausch, der mehr ist als nur das Werk des Einzelnen. Es ist eine Geschichte von Beziehungen, Einflüssen und der Kraft der gemeinsamen Schöpfung.

Bruno Labbadia, bekannt als erfolgreicher Fußballer und Trainer, tritt mit seinem Sohn Luca in den Dialog, der als Fotograf eine völlig andere Ausdrucksform gewählt hat. Luca Labbadias Werke sind von einer zarten Poesie durchzogen und entführen den Betrachter in eine Welt, in der die festgehaltenen Momente flüchtige Emotionen und seine Suche nach eigenen Wegen widerspiegeln. In einer neuen Portraitserie über Bruno Labbadia sieht man den Blick des Sohnes auf seinen Vater.

Auf der anderen Seite steht die Malerei von Helmut Gerigk, der in den 70ern eine Bekanntschaft zu Salvador Dali pflegte, die von surrealen Landschaften, Träumen und einer tiefen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Unbewussten geprägt ist. Diese Elemente finden in den Arbeiten seines Sohnes Konstantin Bax eine spannende Fortführung. Konstantins Malerei setzt sich intensiv mit dem Menschen auf der Suche nach Transformation auseinander und verwischt in ihren abstrakten Formen die Grenzen der Realität.

“Lifelines” immerses us in the deep connections between fathers and their sons - in the interactions between the generations that become visible in the artworks on display and the accompanying quotes. The exhibition weaves the stories of father and son into a poetic whole that celebrates the beauty and complexity of human relationships.

The Idea behind the Box

With the words of the artist

It happens to me often that people tell me that they would love to have one of my originals but can’t afford it. Unfortunately, my paintings are very time-consuming. My idea was to create an affordable limited edition box that shows a nice overview of my work and becomes something very special with a small original of mine added to it. The Collector’s Edition of the Greatest Hits Box has become a real gem, and I hope it will inspire you to dive deeper into the mysteries of the universe.

66 Paintings inspired by Music

Music is the greatest inspiration for me. It helps me to immerse myself into the abstract and fills my mind with rhythm, which I transfer to the canvas. I painted 66 small artworks for this project. Each one is inspired by one of my favorite songs. In the booklet you will find a playlist of 66 tunes, which is also the list of all the miniature paintings of the Collector’s Edition.

The Collector’s Edition of the Greatest Hits folder contains 18 signed prints, a lovingly designed booklet and an original artwork. Above you can see the complete content:
